I'm Zachary, the solo independent developer behind Wizirdi. I've been writing code, teaching game dev, and building communities for over two decades.
A limitless 2D pixel-art MMO where players create everything. From the platforms you jump on to the instruments you play, Heartlands ships empty and fills up with the imagination of strangers.
My journey into game design began at age seven with physical board games. By the late 90s, I was coding HTML. During a rough period of housing insecurity, I'd ride my bike to the local library, download game programming guides onto a 256MB flash drive, and teach myself to code on an old laptop in a motor home.
Long before modern game engines had massive communities, I launched the very first GameMaker/GML tutorial series on YouTube. I spent years teaching hundreds of people how to build their own games from scratch and implement complex networking, establishing a lifelong dedication to community building.
