About Wizirdi
I'm Zachary. I've been making things with GameMaker since somewhere around the GameMaker 5 / 6 era.
When I was a teenager, we did not have internet at home, so I'd ride my bike to the public library, download GameMaker tutorials and development resources onto a flash drive, then bring everything home and figure it out offline.
Eventually I started making tutorials of my own. I became one of the early GameMaker tutorial creators on YouTube and spent a lot of time trying to explain programming in a way that beginners could actually use.
Over the years that turned into tutorials, multiplayer networking examples, world systems, shaders, UI tools, weather effects, building systems, prototypes, and increasingly ambitious games of my own.
These days most of my attention is going toward independent development and Heartlands.
This site is meant to be an archive as much as a portfolio. Old, unfinished, strange, and useful things are all allowed to stay.
